Eyewear
Glasses and prism lenses
Frames and lenses fitted by people who have your numbers in front of them.
Your prescription is yours. We give you a copy after your exam and fitting, and you can fill it anywhere. We carry independent and designer frames in children's and adult sizes. The frame is only part of the fit: we measure where each lens sits in front of each eye, and check the result when you pick them up.

What we help you choose
Frames
Sizes for small faces and large ones, in plastic, metal and flexible materials.
Lens materials
Impact-resistant lenses for children and for sport, and thinner lenses for stronger prescriptions.
Lenses for near work
A prescription made for reading and screen distance, when Dr. Parrish recommends one.
Prism
Some prescriptions include prism, which shifts the image so the eyes aim together more easily. Dr. Parrish says if yours does.
Coatings and tints
Anti-glare coatings, scratch protection and lenses that darken in sunlight.
Adjustments and repairs
Come in any time for a tightened screw or a straightened frame.
Billing and what to bring
How it is billed
Many vision plans have an eyewear benefit for frames and lenses. We check it before you order and tell you what is left to pay. Without a plan, we give you a written estimate first.
How fees workWhat to bring
Current glasses and contact lenses
Vision and medical insurance cards
A list of any eye drops or medicines you or your child use
Last year's report card or a note from school, if reading is the concern
About eyewear
Can I use a prescription from another office?
Yes. Bring it and we will fit lenses to it.
Will glasses replace therapy?
Sometimes glasses are all a person needs, and sometimes they are one part of a plan. Dr. Parrish says which at the evaluation.
