Vision therapy
Practice at home
Sessions teach the skill. A short routine at home helps it stick, and it only works if it fits your week.
Your therapist writes the routine down after each session and shows you each task before you leave. Results vary, and a missed day is not a failure. Tell us what was hard and we will change it.
What a week looks like
A short block, most days
Ten to fifteen minutes works for most routines. Pick a time that already exists in your day, like after dinner or before the first meeting.
Simple materials
A string with beads, a card with dots, a pair of red and blue glasses, a pencil. We lend what we can and say what to buy, if anything.
A helper
A parent, partner or friend can time the task and read the card. Adults can do most of it alone.
A note back
Bring the sheet with a mark for each day. It tells your therapist more than a good memory does.
About practice at home
What if we forget?
Start again the next day. Tell us at the next session so we can make the routine easier to remember.
Do you give out a screen app?
Some routines use a screen task during the session. For home, we prefer cards, strings and paper, so the routine does not add to screen time.
Ready to start?
Sessions begin after an evaluation. Choose a time online, or call and we will find one.
